Summary:
Statistical analysis of a trait measured over a period of several years is considered. A multivariate linear model for the observations, whose components are the values of the train in successive years, is described. A general hypothesis about profile parallelism for different varieties of the mixture of clover and grass and a suitable test function are presented. More detailed hypotheses concerning a comparison between varieties, in the years with the same number of cuts, are also investigated. The theoretical results are applied to analysis of an experimental data set about the yield of the mixture of grass and ten varieties of white clover taken from a completely randomized block design over ten years.
