Summary:
Incomplete blocks are now widely used in VCU (value for cultivation and use) trials in many countries as they proved their advantage over complete ones. In particular so called resolvable incomplete blocks are often preferable to other designs. There were also some experiences in application of them in distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS) trials, but their higher effectiveness was not so clear it these specific applications. In this paper the effectiveness of resolvable incomplete blocks in DUS trial on onion is investigated using post-blocking method.
