Summary:
In the paper consisted of three parts, evaluating properties and practical usefulness of Scheffé- Calinski’s model (S-C model), Shukla’s model (Sh model) and their extensions as joint regression models are presented. Estimators and tests for parameters (stability measures and others) of the models and their using in stability analysis of genotypes are considered and discussed. The aim of this paper, as Part I, is to present theoretical backgrounds of S-C model and a joint regression model which was called the model of Calinski-Kaczmarek (C-K model). The unbiased and most effective estimators and exact F tests for stability measures and other parameters in the considered models have been developed by least squares method.
