Summary:
Methodical assumptions of multifactorial experiment 2
7
with sugar beet, done with the one full replication are presented. There were evaluated the effect of 7 factors: sowing date (14 and 28 IV), date of harvest (26 and 12 X), plant density (controlled and not controlled), rate of N (130 and 80 kg·ha
-1
), timing of nitrogen application (before sowing and at the stage of 2 leaf or at the stage of 2 and 6 leaf), division of N rate (60+40% and 100%) as well foliar fertilization (Insol 4 – 1+1,5 and 0 l·ha
-1
) on the root yield. Introduction to the experiment 7 factor together made enable to classify their importance for sugar beet yielding. From among the studied factors significantly higher root yield on the average during three years investigation was found in the case of early sowing date (by 14.2%), late date of harvest (8.0%), controlled plant density (4.3%), higher nitrogen rate (4.3%). With presowing and at the stage of 2 leaf application of nitrogen significant increment in yield root was noted only in 2 years 1993 and 1994 (by 4.3 and 3.2%, respectively). Division of N rate as well as foliar fertilization did not differentiate significantly root yield.
