Summary:
In the paper the statistical tests of homogeneity of populations used in DUS (distinctness, uniformity and stability), particularly in distinctness trials are given. Different ways of grouping of genotypes into several homogeneous subset with respect to the categorical trait are presented. The way of a population grouping into the separate classes is based on simultaneous test procedures.
