Summary:
In this paper, we investigate crop rotation designs with a test crop. We elaborate on the assumed (fixed effects) linear model. The main goal of the study reported here is to derive some corresponding results about efficiency. The concept of efficiency provides a simple statistical criterion for evaluating and comparing different designs. Generally speaking, efficiency factor provides a measure of information available on the treatment contrasts. We deal with the usual overall efficiency factor based on the mean variance of all pairwise differences.
