Summary:
This paper deals with planning of experiments basing on certain partially balanced incomplete block designs with five association classes (PBIB(5)). Some methods for construction of PBIB(5) which can be applied to certain three-factorial block designs and two-factorial splitplot experiments, are given. Incidence matrices of these designs can be obtained from balanced matrices and the incidence matrices of the disconnected group divisible block (GD) designs. Catalogue of PBIB(5) designs for 3<=r,k<=1 is included, where r is the number of treatment replication and k is block size.
