Summary:
The problem of existing of the balanced ternary block designs with the parameters v, b, r, k, λ, ρ1, ρ2 where b+λ-2r=α for α∈{-2,-1,0,1,2} is considered in this paper. The construction of the balanced ternary block design is based on the incidence matrices of the balanced incomplete block designs and regular group divisible design. The relation b+λ-2r=α it is the condition determining the existence of the optimum chemical balance weighing design.
