Summary:
In this paper we give an unified method of design and analysis of diallel cross experiments set up in incomplete block designs. In the method considered we take into account the type of crossing system and the structure of experimental material. In the analysis we consider the fixed linear model of observations. The analysis proposed is restricted to the breeding characteristics such as: general combining ability, specific combining ability and reciprocal effect. In the paper we consider all usually used crossing schemes. We pay the special attention to the so called incomplete diallel crossing schemes, i.e. to the schemes in which not all of the potential hybrids resulting from crossing system are used in the experiment.
