Summary:
The paper studied the problem of estimation of the weights of p=v+1 objects in n weighings using a chemical balance weighing design under the restriction p1+p2<p, where p1 and p2 represent the number of objects placed on the left and right pans, respectively. The incidence matrices of binary and ternary balanced incomplete block designs for objects are used to construct chemical balance weighing designs. The conditions that estimates of weight are uncorrelated are given.
