Summary:
History of the agricultural, zootechnic and biological experimentation from Michał Oczapowski (1788-1854) to 2000 is presented. The activity of the Polish Biometric Society (Wrocław, Poznań, Lublin) in printing two following journals “Biometrical Letters” and “Biometrical Colloquium” (1970-2000) is described. The development of the experimentation by using the modern statistical methods is given by Experimental Stations, Agricultural Universities, Agricultural Institutes, mathematical statisticians and probabilists.
