Summary:
In the existing literature the ranking of lines in line × tester crossing systems can be carried out on the basis of general combining ability (GCA) effects for lines. In this paper the ranking is making on the basic of generalization combining ability (GCAu), considering only influence of chosen testers being a favourable situation. The algorithm for ranking of lines has been given in group divsible (GD) and balanced incomplete block (BIB) designs.
