Summary:
The paper presents the results of investigations into groundwater level variation, carried out in the catchment area of a midfield pond located in Gniezno Lakeland, in average and wet hydrological years. The investigations are based on the weather conditions represented by the hydrological years 1994/95 and 2000/01. The groundwater levels in the wet hydrological year show significant variation, affected mainly by meteorological conditions and the topography of the area. There was also a significant increase in the amplitudes of groundwater level variation in the wet hydrological year.
